You remember that the "Keyblade" is used for getting "hearts"?

It sounds bad. Like the keyblade is something that's...for hurting people. Taking their hearts.

[And sure enough, she'll be at his door shortly. Shortly-ish. Gotta touch up first, make sure the antennas haven't escaped their pins and her eyeliner game is on point. Check her phone battery, give it a little extra boost. Point is, she doesn't keep him waiting longer than she "has" to.]

Knock-knock. [she calls out instead of knocking.]

[Terra yells that he's coming to the door about ten seconds before he actually does. Opening the door with a somewhat weary smile, he invites her inside.]

Heya. It's all yours.

[His place is pretty sparse. A soft grey sofa sits behind a wooden coffee table, with a moderately sized TV against the wall in front of them. A desk that's covered in cluttered papers and notes, and a bookcase filled with history titles beside it. The kitchen area has a small landing decorated with plenty of fancy alcoholic drinks--most of them gifts from Majima at the club. In the corner of the room is a large dry-erase board, with multiple bullet point of volunteer job, as well as the words "Be Better". Below that one is a smaller board that lists "Keyblade. Meteor Shower. Mark of Mastery. Princess. Armor. Blond Boy?? Aria & Me as Kids" and a drawing of a star of some sort."]

Sorry if it's not especially spectacular, but...this is what I'm working with. [And he'll lead her to the couch unless she wants to take a look around.]

[She can look around while being led. A girl of many talents, Arlene. The array of alcohol catches her eye, mostly because it's unexpected--wasn't he at the last party to be somebody's DD or something along those lines? Anyway, those look like the good stuff, or at least the fancy stuff. Maybe they could share a drink... She lets her attention pass to the whiteboards, in particular the list that appears to be about hallucinomemories. Aria too? She should talk to her.

Here's the couch. Arlene makes herself comfortable.]

Bigger than I expected when you said you were at the dorms.

Yeah, I have one of the premiums, actually. My Father knows somebody, or something like that, I dunno, I've been here for four years, now.

[He settles down next to her, and puts his arm up on the ridge of the couch, so his arm is kind of around her, but also not really.]

Thanks for coming. [Definitely not as energetic as he usually is...if he's ever particularly energetic anyway.]

I have a lot on my mind. [Briefly, he closes his eyes, and then opens one to look over at Arlene.]

You think I ever stole somebody's heart?

Mine. [She says without hesitating, nor any apparent shame in how cheesy that was. Come on, he set himself up for it.]

But seriously. No. [This emphasized with a firm shake of her head.] If you're worried about it, you're obviously not the type. Don't you think?

[she shrugs a little and scoots up a little closer to him.]

Obviously not the type, huh? [His eyes draw downward, a weak smile on his face.]

Yeah, I wish. [She just keeps assuming his some kind of great guy--at least that's the way that she makes it seem when she talks to him. Tugging the guilty strings on his heart, he sighs and leans into her.]

I don't think, Arlene.

Why not? [She turns to face him, reaching up to cup his chin and tip his face down towards hers. It's as close as she can come to forcing him to look her in the eye.]

Did you remember something else or...?

Nah...I didn't. [He hooks his arm around her neck and quickly leans further to start kissing her.]

[Is this a distraction? This is probably a distraction. She's certainly distracted. Kissing back, she closes her eyes and tangles her fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck.]

[Yeah, it's a distraction. He lightly holds her face with one hand, pulling back and going forward, kissing her again and again. This goes on for a while until he pulls back, flipping the two of them over enough so that she's laying on top of him.]

Hah, sorry.

[She laughs as they fall, and when they come to rest she brushes his bangs aside and kisses his forehead.]

For what?

[That's a rhetorical question. As far as Arlene's concerned, there are zero negatives to this. (Maybe half a negative if her arm stays pinned between their bodies long enough for it to fall asleep. Worth it.)]

I think...I shouldn't think so much. [He leans up to catch her in a kiss one more time, lingering in it and brushing his hand through her hair.]

I think...I should be happy that you're here, and that you like me.

[actually yeah she needs to do something about her arm sooner rather than later.]

Absolutely. You kinda-- [while she's talking she wiggles around, lifting her upper body a little to free the trapped limb] --talk hard on yourself. "I'm the moody guy here," "I probably stole somebody's heart," come on. You seem fine to me.

[with the arm situation sorted out she relaxes into a comfortable sprawl atop him, one hand up by his head and the other dangling off the side of the couch.]

[He sighs against her, and lightly kisses her cheek.]

I "seem" fine.

[He laughs quietly, and leans his head back.]

You "seem" fine.

We all "seem" fine.

Hey.

[She pushes herself up a little, her easy smile fading into a frown.]

Did I get to you that much with the keyblade thing?

It's nothing to do with that.

[He reaches out, touching her cheek with his hand.]

I'm just...messed up. A bit.
